frank london and lots of other friends

Frank London was generous enough to play a show for my band the other night!

It was really magical. I do not know who all the musicians were, but that is Anthony Coleman on keyboards! Patrick Farrell is behind the speakers playing truba. Disappointingly, after our set the crowd cleared out to the street to cool off, so these amazing musicians had a rather small crowd to play to in the space. It was a very happy dancing crowd, however, and people were also dancing out on the sidewalk.

Frank saw us play once in McCarren Park (where, frankly, we were lousy) and talked to our tuba player, who later emailed Frank and asked him to play at our fundraiser. Not only was he sweet enough to agree to and to bring a band along, when I thanked him for playing he thanked us for letting him!

Also rocking the night in their own fine styles were Melora from Rasputina, who once joined our band for about two weeks, Veveritse and Inner Princess. Not to mention us, who didn't suck.
